“Is fat really the worst thing a human being can be? Is fat worse than vindictive, jealous, shallow, vain, boring, evil, or cruel? Not to me.”

then why harry potter is thin

(via suspiciouslink)

He’s thin in the story because he was under fed his entire life by his abusive aunt and uncle. Like that is an issue that is covered in every single book. I know it is a touchy topic, but it is not a writers responsibility to cover and address every fucking social issue in the world.

Also because “thin” is not a bad thing to be either.

FAIRY TALES MEME  » THE LITTLE MERMAID by hans christian andersen

THE LITTLE MERMAID asks her grandmother if humans can live forever if they could breathe under water. The grandmother explains that humans have a much shorter lifespan than merfolks’ 300 years, but that when mermaids die they turn to sea foam and cease to exist, while humans have an eternal soul that lives on in Heaven. The Little Mermaid, longing for the prince and an eternal soul, eventually visits the Sea Witch, who sells her a potion that gives her legs in exchange for her tongue (as the Little Mermaid has the most enchanting and beautiful voice in the world). The Sea Witch warns, however, that once she becomes a human, she will never be able to return to the sea. Drinking the potion will make her feel as if a sword is being passed through her, yet when she recovers she will have two beautiful legs, and will be able to dance like no human has ever danced before. However, it will constantly feel like she is walking on sharp knives. As a result, her feet bleed most terribly. In addition, she will only obtain a soul if she finds true love’s kiss and if the prince loves her and marries her, for then a part of his soul will flow into her. Otherwise, at dawn on the first day after he marries another woman, the Little Mermaid will die brokenhearted and disintegrate into sea foam. [Full Summary Here]

Colours meme; Orange

As a blend of the raw energy and physicality of red, and the sheer happiness of yellow, orange is truly the colour of joy, interaction, creativity and playfulness. With its enthusiasm for life, the color orange relates to adventure and risk-taking, inspiring physical confidence, competition and independence.
In relation to the meaning of colours, orange is extroverted and uninhibited, often encouraging exhibitionism or, at the very least, showing-off! x

Colours meme: Powder blue for Devotion
(The original, darker powder blue color (also known as “smalt”) referred to powdered cobalt glass, which was of a deep, dark blue hue and used in laundering and dyeing applications. This color is idealistic, enhancing self-expression and our ability to communicate our needs and wants. It inspires higher ideals. Its success is defined by the quality of its relationships.)

frickfractals:

He’s very talented. He’s charming. He mirrors everyone. And actually, the original story had a lot to do with mirrors, and in many iterations of the story we’d talk about mirrors and we’d bring them up and so I held on a little to that.

And he’s goofy with [Anna], he’s a little more bold and aggressive with the Duke, ‘cause the Duke’s a jerk so he’s a jerk back, and then, with Elsa he’s a hero.

What Hans is is a mirror, charming, but hollower, sociopathic. [Anna’s] so lonely, that it’s like she’s falling in love with her reflection in the pond. (x)

It’s important to note that in the original story the main “antagonist” (or really the thing that fucked shit up) was an evil mirror that froze people’s hearts
